Stakeholder Outreach 2022 – Improving Compliance within the Guyana Timber Legality Framework
The Linden outreach was the sixth in Guyana, led by the FLEGT Secretariat under the theme ‘Improving Compliance within the Guyana Timber Legality Framework’. Forest sector operators benefit from multiple awareness and capacity-building activities between June and September 2022.
Supporting the FLEGT Secretariat in its awareness-raising efforts were the National Insurance Scheme (NIS), the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Ministry of Labour (MOL), all of whom are key GTLAS Agencies.
This outreach was made possible through the partnerships of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MONR), the European Forest Institute Technical Assistance Project (EFITAP), the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland acting through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Facilitator and Forest Governance Facilitator.
