The Government of Guyana and the EU today reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening sustainable forest management, forest governance, and the legal timber trade by signing an Aide Mémoire capturing the outcomes and joint commitments arising from the 5th JMRC of the EU FLEGT VPA and the 4th Political meeting of the Forest Partnership. The high-level engagement was co-chaired by the Hon. Vickram Bharrat, Minister of Natural Resources, and Ambassador Luca Pierantoni, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Guyana.
