Mr. James Singh, GFC Representative and Management Consultant, and Ms. Layla El Khadraoui, EU Programme and Policy Manager, co-chaired the first day of this FLEGT VPA Technical Committee Meeting.

Representatives from Guyana, the EU, and key stakeholders convened to review progress on the VPA, including updates on

• The VPA Annual Report,
• Advancing the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance module in the Digital Wood Tracking System (dWTS),
• Government Coordination Body (GCB) updates on the Timber Legality Assurance System (TLAS), and
• The Joint Implementation Framework (JIF) and the 2025 Annual Work Plan.
