On October 14, FSOs in Port Kaituma participated in the Compliance Outreach session, implemented by the European Forest Institute Technical Assistance Project (EFITAP) Guyana and hosted by the FLEGT Secretariat of the Guyana Forestry Commission, with support from the EPA – Guyana, Guyana_Revenue_Authority, the National Insurance Scheme – Guyana, and the Ministry of Labour & Manpower Planning Guyana.
During the session, GFC and agencies discussed the compliance requirements that FSOs must follow to operate on the local and EU markets as Guyana moves towards licencing under the FLEGT VPA in 2026.
