Forest Sector Operator Compliance Outreach 2025
Approximately 30 forestry stakeholders from Region 10 participated in the 2025 EU-funded Forest Sector Operator Compliance Outreach, facilitated by the GFC’s Guyana-EU FLEGT Secretariat and key Government agencies—GRA, EPA, NIS, and MOL. The GFC and agencies shared compliance requirements that Forest Sector Operators must follow to operate on the local and EU markets as Guyana moves towards licencing under the FLEGT VPA in 2026.
These compliance outreach sessions also give stakeholders a platform to voice their concerns and discuss challenges. They also allow the GFC and partner agencies to understand stakeholders’ needs.
